Privacy notice

When you send an enquiry through the form on this website, we receive what you type into it: your name, email address, and if you give them, your phone number, suburb, the type of work and your message. We also receive the address of the page you sent it from.

When you browse the site, we collect anonymous usage information: which pages are viewed, the type of device and browser, the referring site and an approximate location derived from your internet address.

The form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-processing service that passes your enquiry on to our email inbox. Once it reaches us, your enquiry is held in our email account.

We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which service pages people read. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this; you can block them in your browser settings without affecting the rest of the site. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies.

We use your enquiry to reply to you, to arrange a site visit and to prepare a quote, and to keep a record of the job if you go ahead. We do not sell your information or pass it to anyone else for marketing.

We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful for the enquiry itself and any job that follows, and delete them when they are not.

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email remus@vrb.co.nz or call 021 129 0260 and we will respond as the Act requires.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
